Talk:Action specials

From ZDoom Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

I've attempted to add a lot of the line specials from the reference of 1999, plus I've added a few things that I've noted. Just as a note, anything that has a '-' means that I don't know what it is, but I'm sure some kind person will beable to fill in the gaps.

It looks like I'm the first person to log in... so as my kind contribution to the comunity, I feel that it is my duty to get this thing started :-). Thanx randy for this cool idea, this will really help once it gets up and running. So, lets start helping each other out ;-).

Somebody sereously needs to fill in the gaps. This would help out a lot.

Maybe this should be alphabetized? Bloodshedder 16:26, 12 Jan 2004 (PST)

This was annoying me for the longest time, these are not line specials, they're action specials since they can be executed by things and not just lines. SO I changed it :)

This whole section seems a bit.. lacking, really, since half of ZDoom's power is in its specials. I added numbers and a couple missing specials, which was a start..

Any interest in my going through and adding prettier formatting, see-also links, maybe some betterer navigation, etc? Perhaps also the list sorted by name and number, as well? I'm not going to play with it if nobody cares, but if someone does...

hm, and how much HTML will wiki allow?

I think it would be nice to have multiple sorted indices and stuff like that, if you're willing I say go ahead

- Cyb time to get a watch!!

Multiple sorted indices: done.

Bit more navigation... well, how's this:

135:Thing_Spawn >>>

<<< 133:Thing_Destroy

134:Thing_Projectile (tid, type, angle, speed, vspeed)

tid: Thing ID of the map spot to spawn the projectile at
type: Type of projectile to spawn
angle: Byte angle of the projectile
speed: Speed of the projectile in the x-y plane
vspeed: Vertical speed of the projectile (up is positive)

Spawns a projectile.
