Actually the best place for your page is on the main page. But the problem is it's a page about compiling the source code that doesn't have any information about compiling the source code. Here's what you need to do:

  • take the stuff you put on the source build page and transfer it to source editing
  • give some instructions on how to compile ZDoom in different compilers
  • find out what compiler Randy uses to compile ZDoom and mention that as well

Once the article has some meat on it, it'll definitely belong on the main page. But right now it's just not helpful enough to anyone to belong there. Sargebaldy 12:10, 13 Feb 2004 (PST)

Grubber, this is God speaking. Fix your damn Zarcade link

doomer: sorry bout duplicate hexendoom thing, thanks for fixing it, and also thanks for telling me.

(it seems that the hexendoom on the list of wads wasnt the only thing... took care of the duplicate text on the inside too though... also have you tried my hexendoom thing and have some comments on it? i thought i did ok but you never know untill someone else gives you their opinion.)

thx

Sorry, Grubber.

As I wrote the DECORATE info on the Mummy I realized that A_MummyAttack was nowhere to be found in the wiki. That's when I understood that you can't simply take zDoom's source code and "read" some DECORATE definition from it.

Now I know and understand. Thanx for cleaning it up. Sorry for the inconvenience - was not intended.

Hey Grubber, I'm a little bit confused about somehting. Maybe you could shed some light on this for me.

In the DECORATE info for the Clink the flag "ACTIVATEMCROSS" is disabled (it has a minus sign), but in zDoom's source code the actor flag MF2_MCROSS is set.

See here (taken from a_clink.cpp, IMPLEMENT_ACTOR AClink):

PROP_Flags (MF_SOLID|MF_SHOOTABLE|MF_COUNTKILL|MF_NOBLOOD)

PROP_Flags2 (MF2_MCROSS|MF2_FLOORCLIP|MF2_PASSMOBJ|MF2_PUSHWALL)

So I guess this piece of information is wrong in this DECORATE info, isn't it?

I'm still reviewing the DECORATE info I find in the Wiki and comparing it to the source code to better understand how to do what I intended with e.g. the Mummy actor. That's why I ask.

Proof reading

Hey Grubber, I have some spare time, and I was thinking of proof reading the entire Wiki for things like spelling etc.

I'd like to ask you first though. For a start, I'd like to get Doom spelled correctly in every page. And definitely get rid of all instances where the game is spelt as "DooM", with the exception of project names which are intentionally spelt that way by the project author. What do you think is the correct way to spell the game; Doom or DOOM?

Abandoned ZDoom Projects on main page broken

I notice that the link to Abandoned ZDoom Projects on the main page is broken.

What changed? Back then, I modified "Abandoned ZDOOM Projects" to "Abandoned ZDoom Projects" but it still worked (as in, I moved the pages correctly).

Something must have borked it up.

It was I who made the category. I've had no problems in the past with them but after creating this one it just... Well... Refuses to work. You can't edit it at all. Grubber's changed the link back to normal I see though.

No need to be rude.

I don't know why you need to be a dick here. A friendly PM would suffice. o0 :( Chameleon 10:28, 13 December 2006 (PST)

No problem. :) Chameleon 02:43, 16 December 2006 (PST)
