Please remove all references to me in this project. Thanks. Sodaholic 04:55, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Due to recent events, I'm taking this project back. Please remove hfc2x's name from the page title. Sodaholic (talk) 06:27, 20 June 2014 (CDT)

Listen, Crimson Dusk. I know you mean well and are just trying to prevent defacing of articles. However, I AM the project owner and this was a legitimate and needed edit. If you don't believe me, look at the earliest revisions of this page and/or old forum threads. Just do your research, and you will find that I am indeed telling the truth that this indeed started as my project. hfc2x may have been the one doing the development for the past 3 years, but I merely granted him permission to work on it. As project owner, I reserve the right to revoke that permission at any time for any reason, and I've chosen to do so.

I don't want to get in a pointless edit war. I am restoring my edit and don't want to see you or anyone else deface my work. Please don't make my recovery of this project any more of a hassle than it has to be. Thanks.

Gez, I saw that you want to prevent an edit war and protect the page. I would hope that if you do that that you protect my version and not the old one. Sodaholic (talk) 09:45, 20 June 2014 (CDT)

Sorry, but it seems more logical to me in case of edit warring is to leave the page as the status quo ante bellum. And honestly I'd rather have the situation be settled openly and bilaterally (on Doomworld since you're banned from the ZDoom forums) before coming to a conclusion wrt. the changes to this article. Changing a project by changing the documentation about it is a very meta thing to do... The actual ownership of the content is basically your word against his (since he claimed to have replaced most of what you did that wasn't simply a mashup of id software resources), and being the judge of that is something I'd rather avoid, because to be frank, it doesn't interest me. --Gez (talk) 16:50, 20 June 2014 (CDT)
Well, alright then, fair enough. Now that I've had a day to calm down, it's become clear to me that hfc2x's refusal to take responsibility is a dead end no matter what I do.

It's just that from the public videos of this project, it appears that a good chunk of my work is in there and that he hasn't actually replaced it. I overreacted, no doubt, but I do think that the crowd-funding was indeed a major offense in general due to the illegality of it, and his shit-talking of me despite having done nothing (before this) to provoke him really irked me. I still feel that I have authority over this project, and I feel that hfc2x has greatly exaggerated the extent to which he replaced any of my work (I can recognize my own stuff when I see it!).

However, it was asinine of me to go off editing this article.

Since he's not willing to own up to his bullshit and budge even an inch, it's not worth the trouble. I made a big stink about it, and am somewhat internally conflicted about doing it, but that's just something I'll have to sort out on my own. As much as I hate being defeated, I can see that he doesn't want to give up any reigns, let alone remove _my_ content, and to retain a favorable appearance in the public eye would rather let me destroy myself with ranting about it as he acts calm and collected about it. Well, I'm not going to play that game.

As disgusted as I am with him, there's nowhere else to go but drop this. That being said, I am indeed still immature and am indeed a vindictive asshole at times when I feel that I've been wronged. However, I've come a long way since 2012. I'm always working on self-improvement, and I clearly still have a long way to go. Sodaholic (talk) 22:42, 20 June 2014 (CDT)

STOP.

Can we please stop with this horseshit, it's going way overboard and it's getting fucking ridiculous.
