GZDoom and Zandronum both support natively three different types of model formats.
- DMD (originating from Doomsday)
 - MD2 (originating from 
Quake II) - MD3 (originating from 
Quake III Arena) 
GZDoom supports the following additional model formats:
- 3D (originating from 
Unreal Engine 1) - OBJ (standard Wavefront .obj models)
 - IQM (binary Skeletal format supported by various games/source ports like ioquake3)
