What is ZD3K ?

Based on the latest ZDoom source code, ZD3K : The Conspiracy use a modified ZDoom engine that includes features not in the original ZDoom named ZXDoom.

The game is in progress and should be the largest and most extensive TC ever made for ZDoom. (to change later, not anymore the largest anymore)

The game is still simple: shoot guys and get out alive. The gameplay in some respects is a mix of Half-Life and Doom. You can follow any number of routes through the game. Everything you do will affect the ending. Players will not all see the same ending. Some will see good endings and others bad endings...

Using the full ACS scripting language (in maps) and C++ (in the modified source), this make the game more modern in its gameplay and general feel. By this way, ZD3K will feel more that the Classic Doom than any other hybrid Doom game and/or Doom TC.

The game features NEW MAPS, NEW MUSIC, NEW SPRITES, NEW SOUNDS, NEW VISUAL EFFECTS, NEW ACS SCRIPTS, NEW INTERFACE, NEW TEXTURES, NEW LAUNCHER (and new just about everything else). All of the maps are very heavily scripted.

The game currently consists 55 Maps (should be 99 maps after full recovery) !!! all in 5 HUB !!!!! and takes up 158 MB of Hard Drive space!!! (subject to change)

The game music is composed of as MP3s from many games and modified (legally) songs from various music groups.
The game adds on many new characters and monsters, including a variety of friendly characters to make you feel more immersed in the game (think Half-Life). The game's ACS additions are documented to let other modified the game easily for new Mods, BUT you'll need ZDoom make add-ons. :)

The game does not need ZDoom to run. ZXDoom has been made so that it does not alter your own ZDoom game, and made for the new features of ZD3K.

You will travel through Space Station ORBIT-9 and the Zeth Planet (name taken from the Official ZDoom Map Editor : Zeth), exploring temperate, jungle, icy, and desert environments (as well as artificial ones aboard the station.

Characters (monsters, NPCs, players, EDF soldiers...) are more intelligent (thanks to altered AI) than in the original game.


The Story

The main EDF (Earth Defence Force) directorate on Earth learns about evidence of some conspiracy against Earth.

The Conspirators (some rebels in the EDF army) try to study a new kind of lifeform that they find on the Zeth planet. These creatures are exttremely dangerous when crossed with other species. After the UAC went under after the demon invasion of Earth, the EDF took over the place and have since been the strongest military presence in the galaxy. But some rebels in the EDF captured some demon specimens from Phobos, one of Mars's moons, and have now secretly experimented with the creatures on space station Orbit-9, 300 million light years from Earth.

The hellspawn have returned.

The EDF directorate doesn't know about this secret project, and you, Sergeant James Falco (the player) must go there and find what is going on aboard ORBIT-9.

Are the EDF rebels the true enemy or the EDF directorate?
You will never know...

The game does not need a game computer to run, but it will require some good memory and a good video card. Some room are complex and have alot of design, 3D Floors and animation.
The game has been tested so far with 3 computers with different video card, cpu and memory.
This game requires latest GZDoom version and Doom II to play.
