I tried compiling ZDoom using MSVC with these instructions, and it didn't go exactly as planned. It seems there's no mention here of Bison, but it's required. I'd add it to the page myself, but I've only just begun working with this stuff and don't feel qualified to present the information in a usable way. --Risen 09:33, 1 November 2007 (CDT)

I updated some of the links in the Visual C++ Express Edition section. The newest version is now 2008, but I was able to find the "previous version" downloads page. --Cheeseball 04:38, 22 December 2007 (PhST)

This thread indicates that compilation with the June 2010 SDK does not work correctly at the moment. --Gez 12:10, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

DirectDraw required for building ZDoom was officialy dropped entirely since June 2010 SDK, so it will never work. You need to use earlier SDK. Raidho36 (talk) 07:34, 12 February 2015 (CST)
